Ponce Inlet-based advertising company Shark Bite Media will host its debut Movie on the Water event at 6:30 p.m.Share on: Share via Facebook Share via Twitter Share via Email 2008 105 min TV14 Horror, Sci-Fi/Horror Feature Film SD. The movie will play on two 40-foot LED screens on either side of a 60-foot barge. Shark Bite Media owner and Ponce Inlet resident, Rob Guariallo, said the community seems excited about the unique movie night so far.

So we thought it would be a good idea to try to go out there and do something, again, that everybody can come out and enjoy.” “We just knew that the community is kind of craving a reason to get out and do something fun.

Guariallo aims for the drive-in movie-meets-boating events to be family friendly, with movies that have broad appeal.

While “Back to the Future” certainly fits that description, it wasn’t Guariallo’s first choice. “But when we went to the licensing company, the licensing company wouldn't allow us to show the movie on the water for some reason.” “I think if you ask 100 people what movie they would want to play, I think 100 of them would tell you they want to see ‘Jaws,’ which was the one on the top of our list,” he said. Guariallo expects to deliver a quality experience despite the technical challenges of the marine setting.

Even if lots of boats attend, there will be plenty of room to spread out and still see and hear the movie, he said. “The boat has a on each side that people would be able to get onto the island and sit in chairs and watch the movie on one side, or anchor their boats on the back side and enjoy the movie from the back side,” he said. People will be able to see and hear the movie from far away, too, according to Guariallo.
